Mean of Transportation

DAY 1. SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA.

Pick up and transfer from the International Airport to your selected hotel in San José. Rest of the day on your own to enjoy the Hotel amenities and facilities.

DAY 2. SAN JOSE – TORTUGUERO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to Tortuguero National Park by way of Braulio Carrillo National Park, the latter well known for its forests, tall mountains and immense number of rivers. The trip will continue by boat for a two hour cruise up the rivers and canals to our destination hotel. After lunch a visit to the town of Tortuguero is included. Dinner included.

DAY 3. TORTUGUERO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning boat ride along the canals of Tortuguero, a national park renowned for its diversity of habitats that shelter seven species of turtle, a large variety of crustaceans and many species of fresh water fish. After lunch you are free to stroll through the grounds and explore the hotel surroundings. Dinner included.

DAY 4. TORTUGUERO – SAN JOSE

Breakfast at your hotel. We will once again board the boat for transfer to the embarcadero and then continue by land to Guápiles, where you may enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch we continue our trip to the capital city.

DAY 5. SAN JOSE – POAS VOLCANO, DOKA ESTATE & SARCHI.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you purchased the optional activities package, during the morning you will take a tour to see the imposing and majestic crater of the Poás Volcano. Located at 2,708 meters (8,884 feet) above sea level, this is one of the world's largest craters. After the visit to this national park, we will continue to the Doka Estate coffee farm. The tour begins with the impressive coffee plantation and continues through to the processing plant which is 96 years old. Here you can observe the process of de-pulping as well as the fermentation of our golden bean. After a delicious typical lunch, we will continue on to Sarchí, the cradle of Costa Rican handcrafts known for the construction and decoration of the typical Costa Rican Ox-Cart.

DAY 6. SAN JOSE – ARENAL VOLCANO & TABACÓN RESORT.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you purchased the optional activities package, your day will include a visit to Costa Rica's most active volcano and an opportunity to relax in the hot springs that will provide an unforgettable experience. The imposing Arenal Volcano is admired for it eruptions of ash and lava that at night provide observers with a unique display of fireworks. Facing the volcano and close enough to feel its thunder, we will visit the thermal springs and pools of the resort. After a delicious lunch you can indulge in the medicinal and rejuvenating waters of this attraction and at night you will revel in a dinner setting prepared for you almost at the foot of the volcano.

DAY 7. SAN JOSE – MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK

If you chose our optional activities package, during the morning we will tour Manuel Antonio National Park; considered one of the most beautiful parks of the country due to the unique combination of a paradisiacal beach surrounded by exuberant vegetation, crystalline waters and coral reef and the natural allure of the tropical rainforest. We will hike within the park for an hour and upon reaching the beach, you can enjoy two hours of sunbathing before we leave the park for an appetizing lunch.

DAY 8. SAN JOSE – CONCLUSION OF SERVICES

.Breakfast at your hotel. At the prearranged time, we begin the transfer to the capital city in enough time to board your return flight home.
