Mean of Transportation

DAY 1. SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA.

Pick up and transfer from the International Airport to your selected hotel in San José. Rest of the day on your own to enjoy the Hotel amenities and facilities.

DAY 2. SAN JOSE – ARENAL VOLCANO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the Arenal Volcano. Along the way you will observe the scenic beauty of the many picturesque towns and villages and the agricultural farms of the region.

DAY 3. ARENAL VOLCANO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you purchased the optional activities package, your afternoon will include a hiking tour through Arenal Volcano National Park. Here you will be able to see remnants of the last eruption of the volcano and afterwards we will visit the hot springs at Tabacón Resort.

DAY 4. ARENAL VOLCANO – TORTUGUERO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to Tortuguero National Park, along the way you will see many communities typical of the northern region of Costa Rica. We will then board a boat for a 2 hour trip up the canals to the hotel. After lunch, visit the town of Tortuguero. Dinner included.

DAY 5. TORTUGUERO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning boat ride along the canals of Tortuguero, a national park renowned for its diversity of habitats that shelter seven species of turtle, a large variety of crustaceans and many species of fresh water fish. After lunch you are free to stroll through the grounds and explore the hotel surroundings. Dinner included.

DAY 6. TORTUGUERO – PUERTO VIEJO, LIMON.

Breakfast at your hotel. We will once again board the boat for transfer to the embarcadero and then continue by land to Guápiles, where you may enjoy a delicious lunch. We then continue on towards the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. The cultural contrasts in Puerto Viejo astound most visitors as this is the birthplace of the Rastafarian Caribbean culture in Costa Rica.

DAY 7. CAHUITA NATIONAL PARK.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you purchased the optional activities package, in the morning you will visit Cahuita National Park. Start out by taking a boat trip offshore to the coral reefs where you go snorkeling and admire the beautiful underwater life. Afterwards trek through the natural trails of the park to observe the unique flora and fauna of the region. The day's activity will conclude with a typical Caribbean meal -- one of the many exceptional experiences Costa Rica has to offer.

DAY 8. PUERTO VIEJO, LIMON – BOCAS DEL TORO, PANAMA

Breakfast at your hotel. Land transfer to Sixaola at the border with Panama. Once we have cleared immigration, we will continue on to the dock and board a boat for our transfer to Isla Colón in the Bocas del Toro archipelago. We will visit the beach at Estrella Gigante for a typical lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the city of Isla Colon.

DAY 9. BOCAS DEL TORO, PANAMA

Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning we will visit the bay at Bahía de los Delfines and Cayo Coral, both are a 'must see' for all visitors both for watching dolphin in their natural habitat and for snorkeling in the crystalline waters of this archipelago.

DAY 10. BOCAS DEL TORO, PANAMA – SAN JOSE.

Breakfast at your hotel. Return to Sixaola for subsequent transfer to Puerto Viejo. Rest stop at Puerto Viejo as we prepare for the final leg of the trip back to the capital city of Costa Rica.

DAY 11. SAN JOSE – CONCLUSION OF SERVICES.

Breakfast at your hotel. At the prearranged time, we will transfer you to the International Airport in enough time to board your return flight home.
