Mean of Transportation

DAY 1. SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA.

Pick up and transfer from the International Airport to your selected hotel in San José. Rest of the day on your own to enjoy the Hotel amenities and facilities.

DAY 2. SAN JOSÉ – PACUARE RIVER.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the Pacuare River, the route winds through many picturesque communities. Once we arrive, our expert guide will instruct you on safety measures for white water rafting. We will traverse class II and III rapids during a one and a half hour ride to the Pacuare Lodge, located on the banks of the river and your home for the next two days. Lunch and dinner included.

DAY 3. RIO PACUARE

Breakfast at your hotel. You will wake up to the enchanting calls of endemic bird life and the calm sounds of the nearby river. The lodge has a local naturalist guide who will share his vast knowledge of the local flora and fauna. Choose from the exciting optional tours that include: guided hiking through the emerald green rainforest; tour to visit the indigenous people of Cabécar – where visitors can participate in a cultural exchange with a local Shaman; or select the Adventure of the Rainforest Canopy Tour and glide along a zip line through the splendid canopy of the tropical rainforest. Lunch and dinner included.

DAY 4. RIO PACUARE – ARENAL VOLCANO.

Breakfast at your hotel. We continue our white water rafting down the Pacuare River, this time to the thrill of class III and IV rapids for approximately three and a half hours. Picnic style lunch along the river bank is included. Once we've finished the rafting tour, we will travel overland to the Arenal Volcano – Costa Rica's most active volcano.

DAY 5. ARENAL VOLCANO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you purchased the optional activities package your morning will include an adventure that begins with a 30 minute 4x4 ride through the tropical forest to the outskirts of the town of La Fortuna near Arenal Volcano. We will then trek through the mystical forest trails that lead to one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Costa Rica -- a place that few people have ever experience.

At the first waterfall we will descend from the highest summit to penetrate the depths of the canyon. You will witness and discover the hidden secrets of this majestic region. This adventure includes four descents, three of which are at the waterfalls and one along the solid rock canyon.

DAY 6. ARENAL VOLCANO – MONTEVERDE.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the Monteverde cloud forest; en route experience the views of Lake Arenal and many typical communities of the country. Afternoon on your own to enjoy the amenities of the hotel.

DAY 7. MONTEVERDE.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you purchased the optional activities package, your morning will include a transfer to an adventure center to experience the thrill of hanging bridges and the adventure of a Canopy tour. After lunch, visit the hummingbird gardens.

DAY 8. MONTEVERDE – MANUEL ANTONIO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the Central Pacific. During the trip you will enjoy scenic views of Lake Arenal and the typical communities of the region. Afternoon on your own to enjoy the amenities of the hotel.

DAY 9. MANUEL ANTONIO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you purchased the optional activities package, you will have an adventure filled morning driving your quadracycle along the slopes of the mountains and the nearby gravel roads. The trip will take you through rustic areas, large palm tree plantations, cattle farms and the typical towns of Naranjito, Londres, Villa Nueva and Esquipulas; en route to the Gallega River with its clear cool waters for swimming or just luxuriating amid the lush natural setting. This adventure packed voyage concludes with a typical 'campesino' lunch at Finca Anita.

DAY 10. MANUEL ANTONIO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

DAY 11. MANUEL ANTONIO – SAN JOSE – CONCLUSION OF SERVICES.

Breakfast at your hotel. At the prearranged time, we will transfer you to the International Airport in enough time to board your return flight home.
