Mean of Transportation

DAY 1. SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA.

Pick up and transfer from the International Airport to your selected hotel in San José. Rest of the day on your own to enjoy the Hotel amenities and facilities.

DAY 2. SAN JOSE – TORTUGUERO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to Tortuguero National Park by way of Braulio Carrillo National Park, well known for its lush forests, tall mountains and immense number of rivers. The trip will continue by boat for a two hour cruise up the rivers and canals to our destination hotel. After lunch a visit to the town of Tortuguero is included. Dinner included.

DAY 3. TORTUGUERO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning boat ride along the canals of Tortuguero, a national park renowned for its diversity of habitats that shelter seven species of turtle, a large variety of crustaceans and many species of fresh water fish. After lunch you are free to stroll through the grounds and explore the hotel surroundings. Dinner included.

DAY 4. TORTUGUERO – PUERTO VIEJO, LIMON.

Breakfast at your hotel. We will once again board the boat for transfer to the embarcadero and then continue by land to Guápiles, where you may enjoy a delicious lunch. We then continue on towards the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. The cultural contrasts in Puerto Viejo astounds most visitors as this is the birthplace of the Rastafarian Caribbean culture in Costa Rica.

DAY 5. CAHUITA NATIONAL PARK.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you purchased the optional activities package, in the morning you will visit Cahuita National Park. Start by taking a boat ride offshore to the coral reefs. Then go snorkeling and admire the beautiful underwater life. When we return we will take you on a trek through the natural trails of the park to observe the unique flora and fauna of the region. The day's activity will conclude with a typical Caribbean meal, one of the many exceptional experiences Costa Rica has to offer.

DAY 6. PUERTO VIEJO, LIMON – ARENAL VOLCANO

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the Arenal Volcano, the route will take you thorugh some of the most picturesque communities of the country on the way to Arenal.

DAY 7. ARENAL VOLCANO.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you purchased the optional activities package, your morning will include a canopy tour. Admire the beauty surrounding the Arenal Volcano and the subsequent descent of 2.8 kilometers amid the best canopy tour facilities in the country.

DAY 8. ARENAL VOLCANO – MONTEVERDE.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the Monteverde cloud forest; en route experience the views of Lake Arenal and many typical communities of the country. Afternoon on your own to enjoy the amenities of the hotel.

DAY 9. MONTEVERDE.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you chose our optional activities package, your morning will include a transfer to an adventure center where you can experience the thrill of hanging bridges and adventure of the Canopy tour. After lunch, we will visit the hummingbird gardens.

DAY 10. MONTEVERDE – NORTH PACIFIC.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the North Pacific coast, with its extensive coastline large variety of beaches and exciting activities such as deep water scuba diving, fishing and golf. The beaches are suitable for bathing and the waters are warm. Afternoon on your own to enjoy the amenities of the hotel.

DAY 11. NORTH PACIFIC.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take advantage of the hotel facilities and amenities.

If you purchased the optional activities package, on this day you can enjoy a large variety of activities in one place, surrounded by the nature and tranquility of the area. You have your choice of selecting the canopy tour and hanging bridges excursion; relaxing in the hot springs with a transfer by tractor or on horseback; experience the thrill of travelling down a mountain waterslide or visit the serpentarium. All this in addition to a healthy typical lunch.

DAY 12. NORTH PACIFIC.
