Whether you're a first-time rafter or an experienced rider, this is an exciting way to see all the scenery Costa Rica has to offer!  At Gray Line, we offer you the opportunity to choose from the three most popular white-water rafting rivers: Pacuare, Reventazón, and Sarapiquí.

The Pacuare River is rated as one of the top five rivers in the world for its landscape and fast rapids.  Located on Costa Rica’s Caribbean side, the Pacuare River, its lush rainforest, and the bordering Talamanca Mountains are home to native Cabecar Indians and an immense variety of flora and fauna.  This river adventure is 16 miles long and as you raft through exciting Class 3-4 rapids you will be able to observe waterfalls, birds, and other wildlife hidden within its tropical forest.

The Reventazón River is of more moderate difficulty.  Its scenic 12-mile white-water rafting adventure will take approximately 2 hours.  You will end your paddling journey in the city of Turrialba and with high-levels of adrenaline rushing through your bloodstream.

Finally, white-water rafting at the Sarapiqui River is ideal for families and beginner rafters.  You may think of this trip as an exciting natural rollercoaster!  Bird watchers and nature lovers will also love Sarapiquí.

Special Requirements:

To take this tours you must be at least 14 years old, you need to know how to swim, and have a normal healthy physical condition.

Rubber-soled Shoes that can get wet (sneakers, booties or similar), Swimsuit, Light Clothes, Extra Change of Clothes, Waterproof Sunscreen, Strap to Secure your Eyeglasses, and Towel.
