What is the Gray Line’s Hotel Pass program about?

Gray Line’s Hotel Pass allows you to buy discounted hotel nights in advance. Each pass purchased gives you the right to stay one night at one of the over 30 hotels from the program. These hotels are strategically located along Costa Rica’s major tourism attractions letting you customize your trip to perfection. And, they include daily breakfast.

What to do with each pass?

Using our Hotel Pass is easy:

• Call the hotel of your choice one day before your arrival to inquire about their availability.
• Fax or email the pass or passes that you will use to pay for your stay to the hotel - one pass per night.
• Upon your arrival to the hotel, give the original passes to the person checking you in.

Where to stay?

• Map out a route that fits your taste or needs based on the list of participating hotels (check out our suggested routes below, call us or visit our offices if you need assistance with this)
• Decide on how many nights you’ll need to stay at hotels in Costa Rica
• Get a hotel pass for each night (remember, breakfast is included)

How to get around?

A) Rental car

Costa Rica offers such a wide range of destinations that renting a car and exploring the country on your own can be a very rewarding experience… especially if you are an adventurous traveler!  To get anywhere in the country we recommend you get a 4x4 car; yet, a regular car can handle most destinations, excluding Monteverde and other remote rural areas.

Suzuki Jimny or equivalent
 4X4. 5 doors, AM-FM radio with CD Player,  manual (5 speed), up to 5 people, A/C, 1300cc.

Terms & Conditions
In order to rent a car, drivers must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.  A major credit card is required and a minimum US$ 1,000.00 security deposit will be held on it, depending on the car rented.  The car’s pick up and drop off can be done in San José, at the airport, and at major destinations throughout Costa Rica.

Advantages

B) Countrywide Daily Shuttles

Just relax and enjoy the journey in our secure and comfortable A/C buses.  Our daily shuttles pick you up at your hotel and take you to the most important tourist areas and attractions in Costa Rica.  Let our professional and friendly drivers take care of you!
